Well, I for one am very impressed with the growth exhibited in the design! I think you are now on the right track. The content is making a lot more sense now too! Great work... this is a very interesting concept , I loved visiting Italy and I am looking forward to see this site develop with more content - and watching it grow!

lots more work going on now that is clear. not sure about faded background behind text. Its difficult to read the text at the top. That particular pink is as you must realise a fav of mine & actually pink & green work well but if u use a toned down pink go the same with the green tone it down just a little. Some of the colours work well though - keep at it. You may decide that bright pink isnt that readable on that pale pink - i use it only for links for that reason.

Your problem with your website design is the colours that you choose. Your choice of colours clash making the website uninviting and unreadable. One of the key strengths of any professional website designer is the ability to pick good colours that compliment each other. Now for some this comes naturaly but for the rest I recommend a colourscheme generator. I believe that you must provide a base colour and from there the remaining colours are picked by the program. This ensures that they are all compatable and visible when used together within a single website.

My advice to you would be to invest in a decent colour scheme picker and use it for chosing your websites colours - the green and pink really does not do it for me

The new design is progressing well, the structure is far nicer and easiar to navigate than your origninal monstrosity- i am glad that my advice is helpful.

Glad i have finally destroyed that dynosaur, but now i have a few white elephants for you

i agree more with you Tonya, i don't see that green & blue or pink can't go together, you suggest that they should be trimmed down. Greenie, i am aware i should use more shades and more greys, i'm working on that.... it is just difficult with Frontpage. I have Dreamweaver and Photoshop 7 but i'm still learning the ropes.

I will post a couple of templates in the next few days. You can visit the link and you may want to post color samples to show me exactly what you mean? Or Feel free to tamper with the templates, if you like

And Tonya, the colors are so bright because I trimmed down the brightness of my screen, my eyes are aching these days after so much work. I look like a zombie now. Goodnight

I feel that only certain colours compliment each other and it is these that should be employed for the best results with website design. However if you are adament for one reason or an other that a certain colourscheme is necessary then it is your own personal choice. After all, in this day and age the client always wins....

I await more templates (post into the thread when they are released) - keep up the good work with learning photoshop and dreamweaver. I would also suggest that you consider learning HTML. A person will always be able to program websites better than another computer program.

Hi everybody,

sorry for not showing up before. I've been very busy at school, the year's coming to an end so there's much more to do. I'm still working with templates, but none is ready yet, except the one you can see on the main page.

i agree, a professional webmaster must do what the customer asks him to, but in my case visitors are also supposed to be professors, teachers and students who are not necessarily that business-oriented.

This template is extremely basic, i know, but i hope it's easy to find what you're looking for. I would like to include a site map and a search engine too. All the words are supposed to be links, so if one can't find something on the page, he/she can click on a header: services, linguistics.

i'll be back soon

Wow... where to start...
Bright bright colors, moving text, unorganized design, images not working, it makes me dizzy when i look at it haha. Practice make perfect though, and we were all at this point at one time or another.

Hi, this is nothing special, just a basic template, and the logo is not there yet.

But, if you were a language teacher /student/ would that invite you to click though the links?

You can also vote it from my poll page > please click on the template or go to

www.ingleseplus.com/votetemplate.htm (just click on your choice, 1= poor 5= excellent)

Thanks for dropping by
