It certainly is an improvement, but I have a few things to say (and you'll note I'm not one to give a lot of compliments).

Now your site is about addressing bad credit and mortgage issues, something that has been plaguing the good ole United States recently (and I'm sure it's also the case in the UK) And while I know that people who end up having very bad mortgage tend to be risk-takers in the first place, you want to make sure that people who visit the site can finally rest assured that they found the right people to help solve their problems.

That's why I think the color combination of banana yellow and Barney purple does not work. It might work for a baby products site, but not for a cut-throat mortgage crisis rescue team. I liked the logo in the original, and putting that back will put a sense of coherence to it all.

Anyhow, best of luck!

I personally like your color choices. Many people are "scared" with these issues and your colors are very non-threatening. I could understand an argument against your color choices though. The layout is definetley much cleaner and easier to navigate. I think the original has to many links to high in the page. It gives it a spammy look. The new one is certainly an improvement

its not that bad i was expecting a lot worse the only thing i can suggest is working on the graphics on your site also ensuring your code validates because its a good habbit to get into.

I have took it down until I redo the whole thing, going to use CSS instead of tables, also going to make the colours more 'grown up' I liked the colours but they could put some people off. Will put the new one back up as soon as I have learnt about css layout!

I have redone the design, could you guys have a look at this please and let e know what you think, still using tables until I have learnt CSS layouts which will take a couple of weeks (from what I have read IE needs lots of hacks!)

new design at http://www.bakerfinancial.co.uk/test.html

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Finally got the small form laid out with CSS, this is failry easy when you get the hang of it - note no tables - well chuffed. Still loads to learn though..

Looks good, though bad credit mortgage menu option is smaller then other. Don't know if its intentional to indicate the current page, but it looks odd.

Its intentional to to indicate current page, appreciate it's a little different but it stands out for the current page.

Click on the updated link he posted, read the whole page before posting.

I like the design

IE doesn't need any hacks at all if you code it right.

I am not that good at coding yet Gilligan, I don't mix with techie people (except for this forum that is) so am completely self taught and still learning... glad you like the design, just need to get the form working (without using FP03)

p.s.
the hacks (i.e. if IE5 etc) ...I would be more than happy to read how to do it if you can recomend a source.
