Website Review and Suggestions

I opened this site roughly a week ago, and i came up with the site/coded/designed it all in about a week.

I'm not much of a designer, so i kinda need tips on how i should improve the design.

From my design point of view I look at it and the overall design is quite nice, it gets the job done, the only problem is you have harsh yellows contrasting with a dark black/gray in the background. If you want to go with a lighter colored template, then tone down the yellow a bit and turn the background from a dark black/grey to a white/light yellow or light blue. But overall, it is a nice setup and seems very functional.

I am going to agree with I needalife. The yellow is a little bit much.

Ok, any ideas on what to do with the yellow then? How much should i tone it down? Any hex code i should use?

Mix in different styles instead of the single color look with nothing but boxes. Add shapes and colors.

In my humble opinion, I would tone it down..if you must use yellow, try a dark gold. make the boxes that the yellow is in smaller and less "in your face". Other than than, not bad. Good luck.
