Hi folks,

I recently redesigned this site to be Web 2.0-ish.

Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all.

What does Web 2.0-ish mean? What characterizes Web 2.0-ish? I thought it was a pretty cool site, but it loaded a bit slow from where I sit.

Was slow to load here too in the UK on an 8meg connection.

I'd make it look a bit prettier too - bit dull!

Hi again and thanks for the comments.

To answer abohart's question about "What characterizes Web 2.0-ish?": This is frequently up for debate and frequently questioned. By "Web 2.0-ish" I mean the use of Arial font, clean look, subdued colors, etc.

The slowness, I need to work on. The site is actually doing some external querying before it even loads. I should probably do the querying in AJAX or something so the site comes up faster. Good suggestion though. Thanks.

Also, to mattd, the "dullness" will go away as soon as I add more stuff to the site. You should have seen the older version. It was pretty ugly!

Thanks again for the comments folks, they are much appreciated!

So, RAH, you see the AJAX (with DOM) when the "spinning" image changes to text but yet the page does not reload.

Also, I've added an anonymous proxy server to the site. Comments?

Website Reviews Care to get some honest feedback on your your site's design, layout, content, etc?
content nice tool.

Design and layout wise, im so sorry but it fails to even keep me on the site long enough to know what you're offering. If i wasnt there to review it, I would have been out of there in a flash. I can't really comment on how to improve it, because there simply isnt much there (Design wise)

Sorry. Just some content boxes and a simple nav bar.

Good luck though.

I like your tool a lot. I think there is huge potential. I agree with what Tanya said, btw. Once the tool is where you want it to be, start by getting a good, brandable logo done for starters

I disllike the ue of the term web2.0. In my book it really doesn't mean much froma design point of view, more about interactivity etc. But that's neither here nor there.

Your site is a bit bland, there was nothing really to keep my there. As Mike said, you definately need a logo for a start, but also consider matching the colour of the icons to the colour of your button links, one is blue one is turquoise...

The site looks dated, what with all the square lines and simple text.
