.. I really don't see anything special in this layout.. I've seen it at several other forums.. So imo, its just a unoriginal template you can use.

Looks good but the text at the top "Directory Owners" doesn't fit well.

It's fine I guess. The name fits ok but you really need a logo. Also I prefer less busy looking forums just me though.

I found the color scheme to be contrasty. I'm not sure how much time I would spend on the site because of it. Maybe tone down the saturation of the red?

I reckon you need to custom create a forum template that looks like a directory. Might work, might not. But I have seen this skin in many other places

Doesn't seem very original, but it's really good. I just suggest that you change the forum icons (maybe something darker), and the bright red vertical bars on the side
