could you guys let me know what you think of:
http://www.gainopinion.com/

My conversions are so-so... I'm not sure if it's the traffic, the niche, or the layout.

Comments welcome.

Hi,

I think the layout is nice but defo needs some work...

The first thing that hit me was it is like a word document... bland, text text text and more text. You have some great offers, but you are not showcasing them at their best. I would add some more graphics (subtle and related to your site).

And I Know that you don't have that much content but you should think about adding a nav bar (essential these days) and breaking up the content into more pages.

Oh and add some more color to the main sections of the page.

Your conversions are likely suffering because of your copy.

One of the first things I see is: "Question: What is the best way to find out what a customer is thinking?"

Are you trying to get me to fill out surveys for you to make me lots of money? Or are you trying to get companies to hire you to have people fill out surveys for them? That would be a headline for a survey company trying to convince businesses that they need to poll their customers more.

You need to tell me what *I* REALLY want to know.

Be very specific about exactly what it is that you can do for me right off the bat or you will lose me. Here are some options: (and note, writing headlines can feel really cheesy, but they WORK. A good headline will drastically improve conversions.)

If You Have An Opinion, We Will Pay You Up To $75 For Each One

We Pay Up To $75 For You To Tell Us What You Think

or, if you are really targetting the wannabe work at home crowd, make sure to tug at their emotions:

Finally, A Proven Way to Work From Home Is Here - We Pay up to $75 for Your Opinions

Give Us Your Opinion and We Pay You Up To $75 - A Work At Home Career That Really PAYS!

Spend More Time With Your Family - We Will Pay You For Your Opinions While Working From Home

Give Us Your Opinion and You Can Stay at Home to Raise Your Kids - We Pay for Your Thoughts

etc...

It seems like you have gone with a sales letter-type format. I think that's a good idea for what you are doing. Try this format for better results:

1. Headline (Get my attention - make me really want to know more. I have been searching and searching for a real way to make money from home... is this what I have been waiting for?!?)

2. Tell me why I should be interested in this stuff you are offering me. (You mean, I can really make money doing this? How much money could I make?)

3. Tell me how it's possible to make money doing this. I have been burned before by envelope stuffing scams! I need to be sure this is legit. (Okay, so companies want feedback and they pay others to get it... that's makes sense... )

4. Now, prove to me that what you say is true. (I won't just take your word on that - give me some examples of how companies really use this stuff. Give me some major brands that I can relate to. Tell me why this stuff is a REAL way to make money from home.)

5. Tell me why YOUR site is the site I should go with. (Alright, I have seen this survey stuff before... What makes YOU so great? What are you doing that's so special? What shouldn't I just Google "surveys" and go with the top result?)

6. Tell me where to sign up. (Great, you got me - I want in. Now how do I sign up?)

7. Tell me again that I need to order. (Gosh, I don't know... I am wavering... Give me that last push to buy.)

Try to follow the logical thought pattern of a potential customer. Address their possible concerns. Become your customer and write the page how they would want to see it.

Hope that helps!

Laura (who is trying to get better at writing copy!)

babyboy808 and NBF - Thank you very much for your feedback.

I've changed the layout, taking into special consideration the post by NBF. I've also saved your post, NBF - I think it applies to all the sales letter websites.

If you would be so kind as to comment again that would be great.

thank you,
Nazar
