My forum sucks. I can't seem to get the hang of the forum business model.

The forum is The Tech FAQ Forum.

Note: The AdSense disappears when you login.

The forum is SEO'd pretty well, and threads rank well once they are created.

The issues are:

• Forum visitors are not converting to forum members
• Forum members are not returning regularly
• Almost no one is posting

I think this can all be summarized into "I am lacking a sense of community."

What would you do to get this forum up to 100 (relevant) posts a day?

Um maybe what you need to do is merge some of the categories.

For example:

Tech humor, the lounge, and games should all be one category since they are pretty much the same thing.

Overall, I see too many categories and subcategies. Pople may be hessitant to post for fear of posting in the 'wrong category' and having too many categoreis makes the forum look empty.

Get a favorites icon!
Change the default welcome header to something more personal, that describes why someone should register.
