The site: Lauren Brooke Fansite

I made it for my sister because all the other sites were low-quality or ad-ridden. Since It's launch in June it's traffic has grown alot:

In December some of the people using the tag board started getting online at the same time, but they had to hit refresh for new messages so the numbers are a little skewed. I upgraded and modified the script so that it refreshed automatically (with ajax) late in the month. (Of course, now it's using a ton more bandwidth, but not more than I have on the hosting account)

I was thinking of registering a .com domain for it and monetizing it, then doing some proper seo. And maybe a threaded forum.

What do you think?

If the traffic rate from the first few days this month keep up, there will be at least 3000 pageviews for January.

Hell yeah, you cannot pass an opportunity like this. Pay the $8 buy a domain, send it to the top and get a forum going. Throw some ads up there and you will be banking in no time

After about 4-6 hours of work, I've launched the new Lauren Brooke Fansite. :thumbup:

I set the old site to redirect (With javascript in an iframe. You can't 301 co.nr domains :thumbdown: ) and am ready to start fixing all the things that I accidentally screwed up. :-P

So what does everybody think about the new site?

All the users seem to like the changes and I've already had someone use the User-generated content form (and somebody else said they'd write something for it).

#1: Alot of people are using the old chat room and not the forum. The site demographics seem to include fairly young teens that aren't technically oriented so I can understand that.

#2: I've had over 500 impressions on my ppc ads and 0 clicks. I'm going to experiment with different ad sizes, but I might have to put more ads than I want (and risk driving people to other sites) in order to get a decent revenue.
