For a brand new forum, I think you have too many off topic forums. Seems like you are taking the focus away from sports. I think everything under "Oklahoma" could be condensed into one off topic forum for now. Branch it out later when you have more activity.
Might consider a seperate forum for the Sooners and the Cowboys, rather than having them together. I think long term you will do better that way rather than having both of them together as an in state rivalry forum.
Design looks good, easy on the eyes.
