Website Review and Suggestions

The site: Alfredo Sauce Recipes

After a week and a half it's been just starting to rank in Google and Yahoo. MSN's bot has come by but it doesn't look like it's included the site in its index yet.

From the few visitors it's had so far, I'm guessing that a lot of the people will go to the recipes page, print one, and leave. I'm planning on adding more ads to that page and maybe switching the ads on all the pages from right-hand to left-hand. It'll probably look a little too spammy though..

What are your suggestions?

Myself - I'd add more content. What's alfredo sauce without something to put it on or add to the sauce to give it some more umph! maybe add some more recipes or tips on what they can use the sauce for. i'm a whole wheat/brown rice pasta person who love to add prawns/scallops to my alfredo sauce to ,erm, "beef" it up a bit.

I'm a little short on room in my navbar but could add more. The question would be whether the increase in income would be worth it. (Assuming it did help seo, e-book affiliate sales, or ad clicks).

With about 125 directory submissions, a little blog commenting, a few reciprocal links, and the writing and distribution of one article, the site has reached the second page of Google for most of my targeted terms. All in about 2 weeks.
...Now Google's probably gonna stick my site in the sandbox for six months... :blink:

I think it's nice. A few suggestions:

- the home made recipes page displays kind of screwed up on my screen (1024 x 768 in IE7)

- The text is not easily scannable. I'd suggest including more headings and bold text etc.. There's not a LOT of text on the home page for example, but I feel like I actually have to read it all to know what it is about, and I don't want to read it all. Know what I mean?
