I appreciate the feedback and can understand where you're coming from...
That's an executive decision, so to speak.
1) It's not a pop-up... it's a DHTML layer. The difference being that it's not actually a new window... just made to appear as such.
2) It doesn't appear first. The reason you likely saw it immediately is because you moved your mouse out of the main frame. It's an intelligent exit window powered by BuyNowWizard.com ... when you hover towards the Back button, X (close button) or URL (ie: anytime you move up out of the main frame)... the window displays.
Now... it converts MUCH TOO WELL for me to remove it. It just wouldn't make good business sense.
However, a revision is in the works... it will make it simpler to find the Close function and will only display once per visit (right now, it displays over and over again anytime you try to exit... again, it's actually part of the same window but those who don't understand the technology likely would get frustrated).
I really appreciate the input. Again, some revisions are in place but right now "annoying" some who aren't familiar with how the window works is worth the trade off for the absolute increase in conversions it creates.
Anything else? Anyone else?
