Website Review and Suggestions

Here's my new website:

This is competition site for best computer desktop screenshot. Members can upload their desktop screenshots. All visitors can rate this pictures. Contest ends 31.12.2008. and prize goes to one, best rated desktop.

Prize is not fixed. It starts with 10$ and raise with site ads income. All ads, sponsor and donations income will be included into final prize.

Please, review my site. I'm open for any suggestion.

I'm not sure what to say; somehow this site did not encourage me to enter the contest. There needs to be some introductory "hype" to get me exited about being a part of this contest. Is this a way for an aspiring desktop artist to get noticed? Where beside here will I be seen? Can prospective buyers contact me through this site? Is there an on-going discussion on a forum somewhere? Aside from the monetary prize, what's in it for me? I have lots more questions, where can I get answers? Describe and promote the benefits of registration and participation. Inquiring minds want to know...

You might want to up the prize from $16 to get more attention in my opinion. nevertheless, thats a great site you got there! just need to get the dot com now

I like the web site and the idea of having a competition about the desktop. However I do not understand how the award rises.

I liked it. The "self illumination" graphic is good. I'm with VOID Phoenix though. The graphics are great, but I wasn't drawn in to enter the contest.

Award rises with site income. All money from google ads, donated money and sponsors money will be included into prize. For example, site ads earning for one day is 5$, prize rises for 5$...

VOID Pheonix and A Monkey Typing you are right. Site is in lack of good "marketing" first page text. I'm currently work on it. Many thanks for suggestions.

I think it's nice and professional but it's very plain, maybe you should add a little more color to make it interesting?

I love how it looks. :P The logo is great.
I agree about the prize, but besides that, i think you've done an awesome job.

It's okay, but too plain for my liking.
