Oh, the welcome thing is lipsum... basically filler text
|
It never ceases to amaze me that people who say they're in web design have NO CLUE what filler text is !!!!!

For that matter, it amazes me that most people will tell me that they 'can't read the text - is that (insert language) ??? ' GEEZ !
Ok.. now, back to the question at hand...
The design is clean and simple, and the text is readable. I would knock the font size down just a bit on the body text.
I agree too that a bit of color on the background would look good, maybe a very pale green derivative of the darker color you're using ? You might try experimenting with colors here:
http://kuler.adobe.com - you'll need flash installed to use it but it's an awesome color tool.
On the top menu tabs, I find the rollover to just the white hover a little disconcerting, it's almost like the hover image isn't there. I would do one of 2 things - give the white hover state tab a slightly more defined edge, or change it to a paler green or other complimentary color. Then again, if you change the background to a color, the white will stand out more.
You might also consider putting her name and phone number at the top. I know you have a contact page, but it would still be advantageous to have at least her name and phone number on every page - people won't have to hunt for it. If you do add this, make sure it's real text and not part of the header image.
A good tag line would also be a plus. Coming up with something catchy can be tough, but once you get the content and know what the product is about, it's a bit easier. Something you might want to suggest to her.
I'm gonna guess you'll get some relevant photos to place strategically as you go.
Overall it's a very good start - and the code is nice and clean !
