Hello!

I am creating my fraternity's website and I am in a "web developers block". The site is http://www.stebz.org. Our Frat colors are gold, white, and purple so that is what I have so far. I am just wanting to know if the design looks good as it is right now, adding content is no problem.

The calendar link works, so you can check that out, but the other pages have text headers and I was planning on keeping it like that unless anyone had any better opinions. I want this site to be VERY user friendly and I can code it, I am a horrible designer though. HELP is appreciated

Thanks!

the design, is ok. If you were going for simple, and straightforward, you have achieved your goal. If you need help getting inspiration try searching the web for other frat sites.

Or you could look up the main frat's site. Those would be good sources for inspiration.

Wow, that's PURPLE !!

You're missing a closing </div> tag in your code, and you've got other validation errors. You should NOT use moldy, old, deprecated <font> tags with an XHTML doctype - your font colors should be defined in the CSS.. as should anything having to do with the presentation aspects of your site.

Your menu treatment on hover is very stark - - it would look nicer, and smoother, if your on hover menu was a different color background rather than removing it completely and leaving just the words.

Hey Blake,

The website as a whole is alright, its really simple and does serve its purpose though i do not really agree with the purple color choosen for the background. As said before using the frats main website as a ball park is a good idea.

Best Regards,

Re-Worked the entire site. a Menu Bar hasn't been added to the subsequent pages away from the home page.

I'm wondering if there is something that y'all would suggest I add to spruce it up a little bit. I'm wanting to put graphics, but I can't get the img graphic working in the header.

It looks ok, very simple. Make your 'brothers' help with content.

The picture is coming out of your border.

um, the photo sticks out beyond the borders of the page.

Not a fan of the font in the header -- the letters are overlapping. You're going to need to change the CSS.

The text on the image is a little tacky.

That is all.

I kind of like it. The only that really jumps out that I dislike is the way the picture is too long for the template, but then again I am a bit anal that way! Other than that I like it. Good luck
