Website Review and Suggestions

Could you please review the content of my forum please and try and explain why people are not talking much on my forum apart from about 3 or 4 people, I have had 30 odd people sign up in a week as its integrated to my video ripping page whereas before it was open to guests. I just cant seem to work out where I'm going wrong.

Forum looks good, but a little too plain for my liking. Apart from that, I think it's quite alright.

I think what you need is more members. Try advertise it as much as possible. Hope it works out for you

Advertise Advertise Advertise. Remember obstacles are your friend. Also there are services where you can pay people per post on your forum. Sometimes thats a good way to get your forum started while you are doing advertising.

It is very hard to get a forums started. There are so many out there anyways. When people visit your site, they are going to see there is not much action going on. You need to fill it up.

There are scripts out there that will actually fill your forums up with relevant content.

You could also add a BOT, that will actually post responses. It is fun for some.

Also you could go on a site like scriptlance and hire people to populate your site with many post. I think the going rate is like .05 cents a post or something like that.

I didn't look too closely at what your site is about but if you are selling software try a contest to give away free copies of it to members with 50 non spam posts or more. I only own one forum and it is still under development but I have heard contests are one of the best ways to get people active.

The forum has interesting topics. All you need to do is to promote your forum to attract more members to join in your forum.

Thanks for the replies, I have attached a screenshot of my traffic for May so far, as you will see I have advertised and continue to do so, some of you have already said I have interesting topics so put the 2 together good traffic and good topics I would have thought equal posters. I'm now up to 51 members but the same few members post. Although I'd prefer not to pay for posters as I'd like to think the trafic and topics would be enough I may have to.

Can someone take a look at my traffic and topics and tell me where I'm going wrong?

Yes we can tell a lot from an image!!!

It's very simple, the people who visit your site are looking for a way to steal the videos from YouTube NOT for somewhere to socialise.

fair enough I thought the screen shot would show I'm getting traffic that has to be genuine users as the bandwidth is high.

In a nut shell your right I guess, the people visiting the site dont want to socialse within the forum, I need to change this and I guess the only way is to get more quality content and not give up!
