Website Review and Suggestions

Hey!

Ive launched my brand new design site:

Im 17 at the moment and doing this as a kind of part time money making thing. I know the coding probably isnt W3C, but if I could get some feedback on the general layout of the site and the functionality then that would be fantastic.

IMO, its too narrow, perhaps make the container wider.

One big suggestion, and will help with page loading.

That can be cropped, to one pixel wide and about 800 pixels high. Then set the body to be white background, and the background image to be repeated y

A nice clean looking and well thought out design.
I looked through your site and readyour guarantee with interest. Be careful here, I appreciate you want to give a good service, but there are some people who will have you making endless updates.
Overall from what I have seen if I was in the market for a web site I would consider your services.

In regards to the guarantee i will be putting together a contrat outlining the limits of this promise. You are certinly right, people do take advantage of such offers.

this isn´t impressive
"is your business reaching it´sbiggest audience?"... it should be "its"

looks quite generic but otherwise ok

you have errors and no doctype!!!! and you´re using tables for layout, and NO css, and, no proper structure : <h1> etc.

I think there's too much white space in the header. Other than that though I really like its simple, cleanliness.

Also you might want to use a different image for pages; 'about' and 'portfolio'

The code is pretty bad but its a good start its good to see another young webdesigner learning webdesign your about the same age as me im 16

I think the design could definitely benefit from a footer of some kind.

Put the round corners on the bottom of the design so that it should come up with consistency....and place links as well. And if we look by visitors point of view how they can recognize on which page they are actually. If you place a down arrow sort of pic or graphic below the top navigation links in the middle helps visitors to understand they are on that particular page. Rest is fine

Hey all,

some fantastic feedback, thank you!

I will be making some of the changes suggested and possibly experimenting with the layout, in regards to my coding, yeah its pretty bad but for now im just hoping to get a site going that looks good, then later i can focus on coding.

Thanks for the feedback, The idea of the site is to be simple and easy to use for a range of people.

I know this is a bit off topic but how would people market such a service.. i just need to get my self known, i have done free site etc for the past 5 years but i want to actually get some money for sites now.
