Website Review and Suggestions

Hey guys, I really apologize for the title, I never really meant that I was a genius. My only intention was for more people to view the thread, so I apologize to anyone if they have been offended by the title of this thread or my attitude below. I don't know everything nor did I say I do, I merely wanted your opinion and anything I could do to improve the site. Once again, I apologize to any one offended by this thread in any way

Hey guys, it's true, I'm 14 and designed the entire site your about to visit. Please give me your true opinion about it and anything I could do to improve it. As you can see, I just launched it yesterday so I know I have a long way to go. So I thought that this is the best place to start.

So what do you think of RajaieTalks ?

I really, really like it. It has that minimal, info-centred look (without looking plain) that I always love.

It's clear, very well polished and definately one of the nicest blog designs I've seen.

It surprises me vastly that you're only 14.

Hi there,
This looks like a very promising start, for both the website itself, and your future in website design. You have great potential!

However, your sponsors are taking up about a third of the page. You could increase the size of your main page content by putting the Via Email link under the Via RSS link, and putting the Sponsor ads one under the other, so you have 1 column.

for a 14 year old blogger it is a good start

the thing is you should post at least 1 article/day, because from what I see you have only one article, wrote yesterday. It is a bit early to review your blog...

@superskill, I do have that goal in mind but since this is my first website, I'm still pretty distracted with all the new things I have to learn.

I would not exactly consider you a genius for simply building a website, but it's a nice clean layout.

If you are a self proclaimed "genius," then not only are you not a "genius" but you lack integral social intelligence as well. On your site you come off as a cocky egotist and your writing style/content is weakly organized. Beyond that your design is simplistic, static and ordinary. None of the elements of your standard "blog" reflect genius... depending on your definition of the broad and overused term. Also, who would want to advertise on an unknown unestablished blog?

I think the design is standard and simplistic... but you are 14 so I will give you that. It does look better then the first site I built.

Just keep at it. Practice, practice, practice, and always be prepared to learn because with design and coding you will never know everything.

I've been doing this for years and still don't feel like I know only the tip of a hidden iceberg.

Ugh another WP site. Seriously, for a blog, it's decent, nice simplistic design for once, but it's a wordpress blog. You may have created the theme but that's all. Anyway I like it.
@highanddry Descartes stated "I think, therefore, I am." Meaning that because (in his opinion) nothing physical exists and only that which is in our minds is real and therefore you can only exist if you have a mind that thinking proves you exist. From his philosophy you therefore do not exist. On top of that if you do exist your world is very very small. Now to a philosopher who believed in the existence of both the physical and meta-physical, Socrates. The statement you mangled is actually I only know what I don't know. The meaning was that he knew that he didn't know for example how reproduction happens at a scientific level. You may or may not, but before this did you know whether or not you knew that? That is all the statement meant, he knew he didn't know everything and he knew both what he did and did not know, that's how he knew that he had knowledge, it's based on the idea that you know everything before birth and the shock of becoming incarnate was so much that you forgot everything, when you die you will go back to being only a Form and will again know everything. It's astounding that you mangled and misused this idea. I'd explain further but you're already confused. Good day.
