After creating a website every so often for two years, I decided I might as well create a portfolio in case this could bring me more than occasional money.

I love the banner/screenshot style you use for your portfolio sites with the skewed images.

One note though, your second site: http://www.theatremontusson.zapto.org/ is leading to a 404 error for me.

For me, the layout is unusual enough that it's distracting. I would try to make the design more mainstream.

The HTML on all your sites doesn't validate but all of your CSS does. I like the first layout. I got server not found on the zapto.org page.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I fixed the zapto.org issue (removed www in the address). I have to work on the validation indeed but I admit that when it works in most browsers/screen readers, I consider myself happy!

@imrtt: What do you mean by "unusual enough"? If you're talking about the landing page I see what you're talking about, it is true that I should make it a bit clearer. But if you're talking about other parts of the site I'm not following.

i think that the site design is quite plain and simple, i think that making some adjustment on the design will help.....

zapto.org still not working. I think you need a bit more experience before starting to design for others.

With your layouts you have to consider that although web freaks may love your layout, your customers most likely are going to be average people who dont want to look around for what they want to find.
