"Black!"
Design
I'm going to use a list format, because I feel like doing such. Here are my initial suggestions.
#1 - Get a logo. Logo = branding. If you do not have a logo, one can be provided for you. You have the rights to it. (haha...miranda law...)
#2 - get a color scheme going. Black & white doesn't count unless you're going for minimalist or using grayscale.
#3 - separate your content! It feels amazingly cluttered.
#4 - center the site, or give the empty space a purpose.
Now then, onto some more details. You're content is in a sea of black. It's structured, which is great. You always want a good foundation, but it needs some tweaking. There are boundaries broken here and there, and it's cluttered. Then you need to go to step 2, and add your colors. Then images, then typography. Speaking of your typography, the links in the sidebar are extremely tiny. It's very hard to read. Your idea of using borders is a good one, but not if they're broken by overflow and elements squishing one another in. The ads are in awkward places, and I'm not digging the dark gray with black text thing on each picture description.
Content
Ugh....cars...so boring...kidding. Cars aren't my thing, but this is an image gallery, and you do have a fair amount of pictures. It took me forever to get to a full view of one though. You need to define, exactly, what is a category, and what is a download-able item! Otherwise visitors will be lost, just because they want a picture of that Porsche.
Would I Use It?
I'm still trying to figure out how to download that Porsche...
Overall
Solidify the structure, put the ads in places that aren't awkward, give your elements some space, then go for colors. (Get a logo) and then fix the way your content is accessed. Then go for some polishing and decide on your goals before moving on.
