First Impression
"The logo doesn't match the site name...free template give-away."
Design
I assume you're using a free template, because your logo isn't your name. And you have no tag-line. Either way, it's a so-so design. It doesn't fit with your niche, and you should put in some time to giving your site a unique feel. And a logo. And a favicon. If it is your template, same comments as above (and it looks like a free template!) The colors for the poetry and joke listings are gross and don't match, and there's no style at all on the results pages.
Content
It reads like a personal blog, on the blog page. No real depth to the content. The jokes are...okay.
Would I Read It?
Probably not.
Overall
Fix up the design a lot, and put some time into graphics. Then, concentrate on quality content.
