I really like the design - clean, simple and attractive. Few comments though:
- The Start Now button on your nav bar doesnt appear as a hand when hovered over, i know its a little thing but people expect links to change the cursor to a hand so might think it is not a link.
- I dont like your logo, i recognise the font you are using and i have used it before when making a website for an Ultima Online shard (medieval style RPG) and think it suits that application more than this just from the connotations that it gives.
The concept as a hole is interesting and is potential quite good, i had a quick try of signing up but it seems quite messy - i didnt go all the way through but having to add you as a friend, although is maybe the only way to verify that the user has joined a group, is a bit messy. Having said this though, there may be no other way to verify it and stop people taking advantage without giving back.
Have you considered creating this as a Facebook application as the inbuilt API might offer you better options for verifying group membership etc. i dont know for sure if it would but it is a thought...
