Website Review and Suggestions

Well, after a few years out of the industry, I have decided to jump back in full steam. I just completed my business site.. well not completed, but at least got it presentable!

I would like to hear your thoughts on content, design, colors, as well as coding. Go ahead and point out those small errors! lol

I like the simplicity of your layout. I still think you can tweak the look just a little bit and that will create a better appearence. Such as your logo...looks like papayus font in a circle....I think you can come up with a better logo for your company. That just looks like it was put together in a hurry.

You want your brand to really stand out. I would think you could work a cactus and maybe a cresent moon to make your logo. The moon be the C and the cactus be the F. Get creative with it.

I really like how informative you are on your site for your potential clients though. That is done very nicely...to the point and you touch base on pretty much everything they need to know as well as need them to provide you to make your job easier. Very good job there.

The forms are done very clean and effectively.

I just think if you spend just a bit more time on the look and feel you have a very nice site.

just an idea since the name of the site is cactus, why not have a header that show a cactus more prominently

i dont think the font (papyrus??) works well at all, plus it is too jagged.

Nice design, and largely clean XHTML ! Good work ! A few funky things but not much.

I don't have a problem with the font the others are talking about. If your intent was to make it look sort of like an old west cattle brand, I think it works.

I gotta say though, you're definitely wasting your time with all that keyword stuffing. The only major search engine that even gives the keywords meta tag even a passing glance is Yahoo, and even then it's not very relevant.

Thanks for the great reviews. I chose the simple logo because I want something I can reproduce easily to use on my letterheads and prints. It is supposed to be like a cattle brand.. which is why I did choose the font... I have thought about incorporating a cactus, but it never really happened... not sure why.

Oh and I have been doing some research in SEO and it seems the trends have changed a little...
