Website Review and Suggestions

Launched a new Garage Sale website in June and I want to get some feed back about the site.

I think your site looks fine, you should try to advertise your site in news papers where most people look for a garage sale. Good luck in your site

Advertise locally and use all free sources that you can. You'd be surprised how much local effort by post its, newspaper ads, AM radio, etc can bring in.

I had quick look at the listing of upcoming sales and none of them said when. You might like to address this issue.

great site idea. would love to see a large google maps mashup on the homepage with all upcoming garage sales. the entire interface for this site can be a google maps mashup actually. you can use a check box filter mechanism to display all types of garage sales by default. and an input field to zoom into a particular location.

First impression of look and feel: amazing. Top quality site, made to use, not to annoy.

Design: brilliant
Language, fonts etc: brilliant

Search script: a bit painful
Browse script: pretty reasonable (but asp always annoys me anyway - alas for those who don't build their castle on the firm rock of linux)

Other than the fact that it needs to fill up with more garage sales, and the browse facility ought to be in the foreground and the search facility discouraged except for in the states where there is definitely a listing or two, this site could mint it, if it were properly evolved from where it is.

In a receding economy this, and if you add flea markets to it (I should charge you for the brilliant idea - that'll really give you a massive load of traffic), your site could save so many people so much money. Just think what that's worth?

Entrpreneurial value - top marks. 1 million out of 1 million.

Nice idea, I wouldn't have though of that. The site looks good, but there is no need for that third column which only has one ad.

Looking nice and well designed with color combination. Need to add some more images or banners on website related to your services.

Maybe try another color besides red. It doesn't seem to mesh with the rest of the site
