Nice. Very post-facebook. As a profit concept, it's unstoppable. Make it more mainstream! Bigger pictures is a good suggestion. So is making it load faster - get better software, a better server, or whatever it takes. It can mint it. Personally I think the information will not contribute to humanity, and that the idea has a sell-by date of no more than 10 years, probably less than 4 - but in the present day, it's a money-spinner: don't waste time (or money). If it fills up with stuff that is uniquely entertaining - stuff that people worldwide would drop everything to see, then you will be viral. I had dozens of ideas like this - eg one was where people vote on what's cool and what's not - a site for saying what's cool and what's not cool - not links or crap, like digg and people (but my idea came before them) - but like "episode 3 of fawlty towers series 1" - and people can vote on and review that particular episode. well nowadays there's a huge mishmash of all that. so unless an idea stands out, it ain't gonna work. BUT - your idea is so different to the mishmash of rubbishe. comparing photos is unique, i believe.
however, from the point of view of personal fulfilment, couldn't you use your creative mind to come up with something for a more serious niche? the real money lies in all the boring things in life.
here's an idea - a universal comparison facility
so that people can set up comparisons, be it in a business context or a social one or an entertainment one (as you already have)
if the facility were able to create any profitability for any business, you'd have a business for life. isn't that what you really want?
