Website Review and Suggestions

Hello everyone,

I've just finished up a version of my new website for my Karaoke business and was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback and constructive criticism. I am looking to keep things professional yet fun, informative but not overwhelming, and to keep people coming back.

We are moving to a new area and I am hoping that the website will help us gain business in the new area.

I have to say the red you are using on the Guest Book isn't good for my eyes. That should be changed.

I'd say the entire design needs an overhaul, it is hard on the eyes and the colors cause conflict.

If I were you, I'd come up with a simple and effective design that isnt so harsh.

What theme are you exactly going for? The earth-colored thing which to me states elegance and makes me think of weddings and such or are you into more of the contemporary style which is what your choice of background colors for your other pages are telling me?

I think that you should separate your wedding/personal pictures for your PERSONAL site. This is supposed to be a business site and as a potential customer I should see you guys in the different gigs that you are supposed to be at. Have pictures of your equipment too while you are at it. I would like to see what I am supposed to be paying for, right?

I also think that you should go with colors that are vibrant but do not hurt the eyes. Try orange and its different shades. Do you have a logo? I think you should. A logo that tells of what it is you do such as a mic and a turntable or something like that. That way...you can incorporate your logo into your business card. Sometimes...people forget the name of the company but not the logo so I hope that you have one made that is unique and funky.

Well, you seem to be on the right track. There are just elements in the design that need to be changed to improve the websites over all look - or they need to be completely taken out.

Getting better. I agree the pictures of your friends and you should not be on the business site. The pictures that run across the top, do you really want to show a guy draping himself around her neck with his tongue almost hanging out or show people drinking and smoking. If I were a non-smoker and saw your site, I would think that it is a smoke filled bar and I wouldn't give it a chance. I understand that drinking is part of this scene, but I think you can come up with better photos. What about the stage, some of the singers?

But... it is looking better with your colors.

I've updated once again. Another check would be awesome! Thanks so, so much for everyone's help this far, very good suggestions on things that I hadn't thought about. I will be taking and adding more pics, professional pics from while working, but for now I kept what I had of us and friends singing.

MUCH BETTER with the gray and blue. Nice contrast and again MUCh better on the photo page. I would now come to your place of business.

What is the difference between a client and a customer?

And what are your karaoke services? Do you do the singing? Or just provide equipment? Or?

Overall the website looks fine,
If I were looking for DJ services, I wouldn't mark you off the list.

Logo: Shift it to the top left
Tabs: Have the tabs on the top
Title: Have the tag line in the middle of the page and move the photo below it

I may say that the layout design is not that good same as the color scheme you better need some adjustment on the design properly attach the logo!

Not too bad, although the design doesn't look very professional. I'd change the font where you say "karaoke surprise, singing is just the beginning", try to experiment. On the left side it looks a little bit empty.

The template is o.k. You just need to organize better. Right now it just looks like random pictures thrown here and there.

Your website isn't ready. Some pages don't even work. Needs a lot of work.

Seems to me like someone designed your template then showed you how to edit the text. Unfortunately, the text ares, including the links are incredibly bland and need to be set with more style. You have a strange contrast of complex looking design and simplistic text style.

Thanks so much everyone for your help. I've got some more work to do on it yet, including text and a slight color change, but other than that I think I'm on the right track now. Thanks a gazillion! I hope I can help some others out like you've all helped me!
