We've indexed over 25,000 local websites for each state in the USA for major topics such as doctors, lawyers, realtors, insurance, etc. The benefit of knowing the quality, traffic, reach, and popularity about businesses around you can bennefit both the internet marketer and the average consumer.
If your selling a house, using a popular well known real estate agent that has a high amount of website traffic will increase the odds of getting the price you want; or vise versa for the buyer looking for a good deal.
Lawyers, typically the more popular their website is the better they do in court because this signifies their client base magnitude.
Doctors and insurance, the same. It's up to you to figure out how the statistic mesh creates possibility.
Marketers can use the local directory to find business around them that is relevant to their topic so they can try to work out a deal to get link placement. Simply contact the webmaster and see if they will exchange. Most of the time because you are local, they will exchange predominantly over national and even international exchange.
