Hello,
First off let me say I really like the background image you have selected. I don't like how "home", "help" and "search" have a round rectangle shape to them and "login" and "register" have a rectangle shape to them. I'm not sure if you where trying to make them different but I feel it throws the top navigation off. Also, your site would be more appling if you got away from the plain jane white box's with a black border. It looks like you have a very nice start on your forum. You have people signing up and posting always a good thing on a forum based website. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully I was helpful.

Hey The-Pixel,
Thanks for pointing out about the buttons not matching, I didn't mean to make them different. I have fixed them now and they all look the same. Thanks again for pointing that out. The white boxes are a honeydew color but depending on which browser your using depends on how green they are.
Many thanks for your advice,
GREENMACHINE

Hello,
Your very welcome. The top navigation looks much much much better. I'm using Mozilla Firefox 3.0 and I don't see this green you are talking about. I wish you the best of luck with your website and I'm glad I could be of service to you.

awful, your colour choices are horrendous, very amatuerish. there are loads of skins for messageboards, how could you go this wrong?

Background is okay, but the rest of the site lacks musical substance. Try to crank up on the music theme, especially in the banner/header and then we'll talk.

Hi there siberia,
Thanks for your opinion, I play the guitar and have been playing only for a short time. I'm trying to focus on more about music rather than looks. I understand that looks are important to attract members and will consider your feedback.
Many thanks

it does not match, you should make your forum more darkishh to match the background.

I really think that the design is Ok but should continue to add more specific details like proper color scheme and exact header image that fits to your niche!

I am sure that as you grow with this site, it will too grow and eventually it will evolve into a certain design. As it is now, it's organaized, and seems good enough to me

Good website but, in my opinion, the background doesnt match the colors of your design very well, kinda hurts your eyes when you scroll down.

I would just go with text links instead of using those top buttons. The header as a whole is also alot bigger than it deserves to be. The header pic should be no more than say 600px wide. This will also give that right status text some room to breathe.

I'm not too keen on the buttons, however the rest of the site looks good to me. The worst thing on the page is the Google ad that repeatedly comes up!
I'd just like to point out to siberia that there is a difference between constructive criticism and rudeness, and I hope you could try and be a little more tactful in future or keep your opinions to yourself
Great job on the site though GREENMACHINE!

I think you have chose a bad set of colours may be you could use www.colourlovers.com to find the perfect colour scheme to suite your website. Also i don't think buttons look very good, maybe you should think of purchasing some buttons from stock stockexpert, or even redesign them you self which is a lot cheaper.

Hi there vahhho,
I have made it so the background stays still while you scroll down so that hopefully that will be easier on your eyes.
Many thanks,

I like your favicon, I am not sure about your background - have you thought about toning the colour down so it appears more as a background image because currently it feels like it is jumping out at you and having more prominance than your content. Otherwise a good start
