Website Review and Suggestions

Dear friends,

I need help in improving traffic on this site.
http://www.124diary.com, this site is online diary, i had online diary on top of the first page two months back but now its on 2 page.

I have applied most of the things over it as far increasing traffic is concern Link building using directory submission, article submission, bit of blogging. I would like to be suggested some thing better which can help me improve traffic.

I just don't know
another site to bash your mate-or threaten to beat up yourself

the graphics-look plain--ads by google is the focal point-1st thing I saw-2nd thing I saw, down the left side ads by google--thats alot of ads before I figured out what the site was all about

just my opinion I could be wrong

Yeah, reducing ads by google will increase in traffic? is that what you are suggesting?

Most of the area of your website is occupied by Google Ads so adjust it systematically and add a page named SITEMAP which show all links on it.

Here are some things I'd recommend (I'm new to Internet web sites so don't take my opinions to be ones of an expert):

1. Allow people to see what's going on. When I click on someones post I get asked for a Username/Password. I want to see that there is stuff going on and what exactly is going on. If it interests me then I might just sign up.

2. Remove the ruled paper, cause the Google ads with the white backgrounds on it make it look bad.

3. Make your links actually do stuff (i.e. change color, change underline . . .) so I know I'm clicking on your site links and not on advertisement links.

4. Reduce the amount of ads. It looks cluttered and it looks like one of those sites that is just thrown up with ads and left as it is with the owner hoping that they'll make the cost of buying the domain back in advertisement clicks.

Just my opinions. If it works then don't change a thing.
