Just a couple weeks ago I considered double marketing. Meaning we would advertise our services under two or more brands.

Now, here is my product! I'm double marketing www.FeatherCode.com.

After some advertising campaigns I noticed the design for FeatherCode was causing a slightly higher bounce rate than usual, so I figured I would create a design for our service with a more "conservative" look and feel. I thought it was best to have a bit of both worlds!

So here we have it... www.SlicedAccordingly.com Promoting our $75 PSD to XHTML/CSS tableless, W3C Verified, and in 24 hours.

Would love to hear your critique and feedback!

Thanks,

Tyler

Feathercode is layed out nicely but its not a really striking design. I really like the second site though. Really clean looking graphics and layout. Maybe a little too busy in some areas but not much i can really negatively critique. The only thing I see being an issue is this NDS privacy thing. I've never heard of that act, and too me it would seem that people looking for your service would want to see some examples of your work. If your clients already have a web present what kind of privacy are they really looking for anyhow? Its on the web already so your are just giving them free pub essentially.

Hey,

The NDA is actually very common. When a design firm outsources their work to us, it's not our business to make sure their client knows the PSD to XHTML/CSS was done by us. Many of our clients are high-end, and it is a little tacky to see that we did the XHTML/CSS.

Our confidentiality is our strong point, and has brough us many customers.

Hello!

Congratulations on your website. Both designs look nice. I personally like them both, but for different reasons. The FeatherCode is neat because it's *different* than what we are used to see. But of course Sliced Accordingly looks more professional.

I would have liked to see these paragraph on the main page in order:

"About Us

We take your beautiful design and craft equally beautiful and semantic CSS and X/HTML. You'll recieve your code fast (usually within 24 hours) and for the ultra-affordable starting price of $75 per page. Yes, we're crazy.

Our working hours:
8AM PST to 8PM PST. Monday through Friday. However, if you specify a time constraint we can see about speeding things up a bit, even if it includes working weekends."

"Your Satisfaction Guaranteed

If you request your order to be canceled prior to work begining, your order takes longer than 48 working hours to complete, or you just aren't 100% satisfied, you get your money back! We believe you don't need to pay for something you don't want."

I think this should be the focal point of your website : What you do, and how you do it! This would be especially important for your SlicedAccordingly version. When I first looked at it, I saw the square on the right with the "Order now", yet my attention or interest obviously wasn't already there. Then I saw "your code verified.." so I was still wondering : so what do they do exactly? they verify code? then I saw the total pages x 75$ on the bottom right... so I started to understand that you make "cheap" websites. then I saw the 24 hours and I finally understood.

So my suggestion, if you are going to keep Sliced would be to make the "about us" text the main focal point.

Hope this helps?

PS: a privacy statement available at the bottom next to your copyright would look professional and also please Google's bots. So would a sitemap. Both of which you can put in subtle links next to your copyrights.

Yep, if this a business site (you sell or offer smth) make the title page attracting to visitors, write "about as" and the main point of this page of course your advertisement "....We take your beautiful design and craft equally beautiful and semantic CSS and X/HTML.
