Website Review and Suggestions

So I just put up my index page, can you please review. I did use a template so i didnt know how to change everything I wanted to change. Also tell me if everything aligns right, I know my last site looked great n my computer but looked like crap at my work. Thank you and any suggestions on how to fix what ever problems you may find would be great.

Technically speaking, it looks alright. It is aligned correctly. I find some of the text a bit hard to read, mainly because it's cyan on white.

The alignment looks fine to me too. Why not try a light silver/gray background for the cyan text as I too found this hard to read on the white background.
Why not consider making the site a little wider as the content seems to be quite narrow to me. Why not reuse the brown from the navigation links as a border or background on other areas of the site to break up the "white out".
