I don't know if you're doing a browser check, but may want to consider it. You have a lot of newer scripts running on the page and folks with older/incompatible browsers will be out left out-of-the-loop. If you can do a browser check and re-direct incompatible browsers to a "stripped down" version of the page, that might help.
The header navigation is nice, but the sub-menus should be centered if possible. It takes some effort to stay within the red sub table and go over to the left to make a selection... hopefully you don't go outside the lines and have to start over due to the sub-menu disappearing.
Keep in mind that just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. The a-widget.com picture script/widget is novel. But, because the page loads slowly, you may want to re-consider what is really necessary for this page. As it is, it does take some time for the page to load and you haven’t even begun to rotate ads.
Yahoo.com takes great effort into page load time. They even use re-directs for long URL’s to cut down on the page size.
