A couple months ago I made an attempt at creating a simple yet effective WordPress theme from scratch. I keep forgetting to finish it totally, so there are probably some things that I've overlooked, but I think it's ready for some criticism. What do you guys think?
This looks pretty good. I would try bolding all the H2 text, might look better.
I would also suggest you consider using a GIF file for your header. Big font rendering can be very inconsistent among browsers, especially when linux enters the picture. Run your site at http://browsershots.org/ and see if the rendering is sufficiently homogeneous for you tastes. If not, you can guarantee perfect rendering with a 2-3kb transparent GIF file.
