Website Review and Suggestions

Hello all,

I am glad to have found this forum. I am looking forward to reviewing the other threads, especially the database information.

First, I want to wish a Happy New Year to everyone. I see a lot of hope on the horizon and am looking forward to 2009.

Second, I would like some feedback on a new site I have just created. Since it is an e-commerce site, the first question is "is there enough information that would make you comfortable purchasing?"

no professionalism = no trust = no sale.

your website doesn't look professional and if i were you, i'd hire a designer to redo your site. think about it this way, if you refuse to spend money on a quality design that works, what does that say about your business? your website immediately screams start-up/one-man-business and i'd be hesitant about your customer service should i need to claim warranty or returns. i'd also be hesitant to buy anything period, as i'd be scared to have my credit card charged and not receive anything. and this is all because of the website looking unprofessional.

basically the site is cluttered. Pictures are all over the places. everything seems to be unaligned. I mean hartofalyon is somehow right... try hiring a designer and see for yourself

WOW..I always appreciate Constructive feedback. But this is over the top. I have read through your reviews, and not once have you seen anything you like. Quite frankly, a good salesman accentuates the positive, offers ideas, and does not insult potential customers. What does that say about your business. I would like specific comments that help me design a better site, not a sales pitch.

That being said, I do agree with countloaf and have removed the pics at the bottom of the page. I did also find some mis-aligned items and will work on correcting them. I would really appreiate some thoughts on improving my site.

Also, take a look at the largest player in this market. (www.cellphonehut.com)

lol, i never said i wanted to design your site and i certainly do not view anyone on this review forum "potential customers." i come here to this forum to offer my insight on websites. if i do not like your site, then i'm going to say so. i'm not going to pick out things i like and give ideas on how to improve them because everything negative about the site will still weigh it down. i'm going to speak my mind because that's something most people here in the review forum is unable to do. am i also forced to find something i like about your site when there is nothing i like? i come here on my free time to give people feedback and most of the time, that is by pointing out the negative.

regarding your website, i apologize if i was harsh but it's what i truly believe. i don't feel any feedback will help your website. my advice is for you to find a professional to design it. also, a common misconception about any industry is to follow the most successful player and see what they do. sure that may work, but you're not seeing the bigger picture. a certain company may be #1 because they're doing the best in it's particular industry; however, that doesn't mean its website is the best it can be. there's a difference. focus should be place instead on large e-tailer, e-commerce websites across the board and measure your site to theirs, not the most successful website in your particular industry.

Who are you kidding? Of course your are advertising your services, otherwise you would not link to your site that advertises such services.

Insight should be constructive. Your posts simpy make you seem like an extremely negative human being. That is just my insight.

You are extremely talented. I have looked at your work and I am impressed. With this extreme talent, you should be running your own shop making hundreds of thousands. However, to truly suceed, a little tact, politness, and civility go a long way, which is why you work for someone else...

I would go on, but you would simply miss the point.

People are different, people act,respond,feel,ect.. in completely different ways. He was offering suggestions in his personal "flavor", if you do not like his comments then either they are harshly true or you are portraying them as "mean" or "cruel" and that is a self-issue, not a global problem.

Oh, and he is advertising his company just like 100+ other people here. We are able to do so by providing the help that people ask for. Also, this little flame war could be taken to PM's or a far off chat room.

The content is great but the design could be better, I think the site would look more appealing if you got a professional template.
