Website Review and Suggestions

Hello, i created site, a web directory. There is some small fee to add link to the website, but as some have already added sites, i would say its worth, well mine thought is not important, its yours.

It has function to review website, add website to bookmarks. Than you can see how many times users clicked on websites. That is my project for the moment. I hope that you wont criticize it that there is too many sites like that. Well there are but not good ones

I am trying to make well known web directory. Write your comments about what you think about site (style,functions, etc). I am planning to add some more functions to the system.

Please don't take my opinions offensively, after-all it is just my opinion.

I think you have a good idea, and you have the platform down. You got the software working, now you need to develop your site to appeal to the average person. If I were to stumble upon the site as it were right now, I would honestly have no idea the purpose of it.

Having said that, there is so much unused space I hope you decide to develop!

Pages are short. Even they do not fit in the whole window. You should have made different categories and placed them on your index page. There is no reason to put random links as it will be difficult for visitors to find their desired information.

I have to be strait with you, it looks like your programming is solid, but I think you should try and model the design more towards what people are used to rather than have them come and try and learn your stye of webpage.

I did try and add my link but i didnt know where to put it. Im sure i could have found the place if i really tried, but I am a typical impatient websurfer and hit the back button instead.

On another note if your intentions are to drive traffic to the site and click off on one of the link Icons, mabey this is a brilliant idea. I would recomend you scaling it to fill a 1024 X 768 screen though.

Thank you for your review PBScott, site is developing part by part. Our team is doing modifications all the time so we will probably make this suggestions too.

We will think about it, well for now scailing to 1024x768 is not so important because there is not so many sites published yet, but when there will be on close with space offcouse we will optimize site

We will try to make site more simple as we can, thnx again for good review !

Site concept is nice.

Layout look good.

But

1) Content is not enough.
2) Not user friendly.
3) Content is to dull, Can't read properly.
4) Use of meta tags are not enough.

Its a cool idea you have but the website design and development is put together poorly. There is nothing that makes your site scream HEY LOOK AT ME! Also, like many other people have states your pages are short. I would provide more information about what it is your website does. "We" on the form know this because you explained it to us but an Average Joe visiting your website would have no idea really what is going on or what your website is suppose to be about for that matter.

I want to add one more thing. I really like your logo but when its against that blueish background on your website it becomes extremely hard to read.

Ok....

Firstly, you don't have a !DOCTYPE declaration, very bad practice. You also have 72 warnings when validating your page with HTML Tidy..

Your logo doesn't seem to link together, I am seeing a gray space in between it.. perhaps worth looking at.

You have no strap line, no explanation of what the page actually is.

As someone mentioned above also, you really need to pad the page out with more descriptive content, it is currently uninteresting, noone is going to visit a page full of links... that's why we have google..

Personally I would concentrate on cleaning up the code, then take it from there.

There's nothing I can find in the site. You mention that it's a directory but I can seem to notice any links of sites and categories all over.

regmac: well site depends on searching over keywords.... i think
that is better for every person that search for something.... let say music... and than you get resoults of sites that includes that keywords... its simple
