Website Review and Suggestions

Hi,

It's a month since I launched a new site. It's a online magazine with different articles from the IT industry, Games, Economy. Please review it. It would be really helpful to receive some opinions on it. Tell me about the colors, design, content, or whatever you like/dislike.

Your site loaded fairly fast for me (Roughly 12 Seconds) I am on a slow net connection so it may be faster on proper broadband internet.

Your site layout is nice and easy to use, the banner is good and i see that you are using some advertising there. Always a good idea, nice to see you have got some image ads there also.

Funding sites can be hard without advertising. LOL

You have the whole site laid out well and everything there is very easy to read.

I love the site and it is very well done.

I cant really comment much on it, but you do need an about page

But that is all I can say except well done.

I like the name, but I don't like windows 7 so, it's a 50 - 50 in my book.

Brian07002, I am a Linux fan also and will write a few articles about it soon. My website partner, he's a windows fan so he wrote the articles about 7

ms2134, the site is located on a server in Romania. It's not going to be super fast, but I'm glad you tested the speed

Personally, I still think the design is kind of dark but I'm going to leave it like that for the moment.

First instinct.. good job.. looks pro!

In more depth...

Well organised.. colours go well together.. that rotating eye catcher is useful.. def the first thing i looked at

My only real problem would be the navigation.. something doesn't quite sit right with me on the top 2 nav bars and the one at the bottom could possibly be more in the initial eyeline...

but overall nice looking.. seems to be neat and tidy..

Break up the black too much and it would stick out like a sore thumb.. if u did want some more colour.. make sure it is used to highlight something, it wont look so obvious then..

I have to agree with PauloMillerz. The site kicks butt but the two nav bars of top throw me off. Maybe its the font (doesn't really fit the rest of the site)? I like the first one (minus the font) but I think the second one needs to be indented or something... I dunno.

Really nice site - i love the design - very clean and everything is just here, it was uploading slow on my pc - but maybe it is just me...
where did you get this theme from? it is really nice
the red color can be a bit darker so it will stand out on the white BG

overall - i liked this site :-)

I liked the site a lot. The design is well done. The only comment I have is that the slogan 'It's not news, untill we say it' is good but 'until' only has one l.....

I used a template from http://www.revolutiontwo.com/
I modified it but still have to work on the colors and menus. 10x for the warm appreciations.

8.5/10 - Looks really nice. I like the dark look. It really goes with the tech themes expressed on the site.

I do have one criticism. When you choose your images for the rotating flash be careful about choosing images with text cuz when your gray text comes up over it, it's really hard to read. Either don't use images with text or make that gray darker so less of the text in the image shows through to interfere with reading the message.

All in all though very nice.

Yes, I did observe that and will tell the writers that upload them not to that anymore

Great job! This looks really clean, the color scheme is solid, and I have no trouble navigating.

Only trouble I ran into was the initial load. The site takes a while to load, even on fast connections, and the site logo loads pixelated, then corrects itself. (I'm on Firefox 3, Windows XP.)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I need to go change the year on my own site's footer.

great job also, thank you for your impression on my site. The hosting is located in Romania, Europe that's why it loads a little slower

; I'll change it to a US based server in a few months if the magazine project goes well.

I really like the dark color, and I should say that globally the lay out is great.
Article are very interresting, I read latest articles, and it's seems interresting (I did not notice what you see on chrome bug, but after looking at it, you're right, I also like the "reading mind ..." article.

I can say that for design, it's a 8/10.

Now the bad thing:
why using mootools AND jquery? all effect you use could be done with only one library. But's that not the most important, isn't it?
Next, i think organisation need to evolve, why having the "window 7 .." article under news and not under windows ??

by the way, it's clean and intuitive, good job !
