Website Review and Suggestions

Hello guys,
This is my first and only website, www.anorexiapedia.com , which is basically an information based site covering topics of Anorexia and Bulimia. Both of them are psychiatric eating disorders. The rest i ll leave for you guys to review

There are no monetization stuff because im still building the website

. Please let me know your suggestions and how to improve the website

As far as design goes, the navigation link rollovers could use some contrast (orange glow + black text maybe?) so they are easier to read while moving the mouse over them.

It's easy to use, which is a good thing if you're trying to find information fast.

Everything else looks good.

the content is really informative though you need to improve on the navigation bar, and you need to also make some adjustment on the side bar....

Nice concept of design. I like it. The content is also great. Lots of informative resources. Just expand the width of your navigational bar on the left side and add some more interesting features.

Off course there is not discussion about the content. It is very informative and there is specified in the options menu. The design in general is interesting. Although the left side seem some charged in comparison with the right one.

Remove the white back ground color behind those subscribe buttons at the left site. I find those misplaced somehow. Make it transparent.

thanks guys, will do all... the problem regarding the look of the website is due to me using online site builder, soon i ll switch to my own designed template... hopefully i ll be able to include all the things you people mentioned here

below is a brief preview of my new website template

right side will be filled with adsense(the graphical ones) and misc stuff like the "Subscribe to this site" thing, ofcourse in a more organised way

Hi, just some suggestions:

- Reduce header size (shorter in height).
- The orange photo is too distracting, good for the message, but too big.
- If the phone # is important for you, move it to top right, put it inside a box, follow the rest of the site colors, use white, bold font, maybe underline box with black or dark brown.
- Reduce logo size, about 15-20%
- Use text for left side menu, otherwise won't be indexed. Use a darker / brownish shade for menu background, white font, +1 font size.
- Use a line separating each link, a slightly lighter shade of the orange you're using in the menu background.
- Welcome to... maybe dark brown, letter space 0px, +3-4 font size.
- Move RSS links to the right side of the site, to the right of the title.
- Don't use blue for links, make it look like you did a quick site, use dark orange or brown.

My 2 cents.

Home menu tab disappears when I press it. But other pressed tabs are marked by grey color.

erm, as i mentioned i m using an online site builder, it is sitebuildit! specifically... so i am kind of bound to using their stock codings... homepage button in the navigation disappears when you are in the homepage due to their stock codings

...soon i will change to my own design though

Ilike the idea. The page has a lot of content and if you wanna know more about anorexia it's definately a good place. BTW you get only PSAs instead of normal ads , check your AdSense account.

I would do some slightly changes just to give some cleanliness to the website. Please have a look on the attachement:

-Put the logo a liitle bit small on the base of the header.
-Take out the phone information and put it on the contact menu
-I would align the titles by the left and a little bit smaller just to fit with the text bellow
-When changing the menus I would use the icons that are on the left of the first and second menus , just to tell where I´m at
- I would take out those white circles on the vertical line on the right of the menus
-and finnaly I would fill the menu boxes with orange
