I think, it a good simple site. But it doesn't have much information.

its a gallery type site, so most of it is images of different websites
but i also have links to articles on the side where users can submit links

do you guys like hovering over the image to get info on it, like the name of the site

Heh, I think you should get some fancier typography going on yourself if you want to look like an authority on the subject.

The rollovers work fine, as well, though I found it weird that I could roll over the image and the text links that pop up separately, and their ALT tags were different.

the image goes to the site thats in the image while the text over the image is the permalink for users to find similar images through tags and to comment on the design of the site
im working on the redesign to make it easier and better

Best Web Typography on my screen is missing the top and bottom of the characters, I noticed its an image, not actual text, there really is no reason for that unless your going to add a more flashy banner image later.

The text on the links at the top of the page are readable but dont fit in the boxes you have for them, at my resolution anyhow of 1360 x 768.
