Website Review and Suggestions

I recently launched the reusable bag website http://www.YourGreenBag.com, and I would love to hear any opinions/suggestions you might have. The designs that are placed on the bags are going to be the result of the graphic design contest that I host on the site, but as I stated, I just recently launched. The bottom line is, I want the site to be fun and ridiclous just like me!

Huge tip: a "sign up" link, should be about 25px, and red or green. Something that grabs people's attention. I like the nav header, and the flash header. The login/register links at the bottom should be closer to the top and styled. Instead of linking, why not just put a login in box right on the page (toward the top), and have a register link next to the submit button? Or below it. More whitespace between the bags/the picture. Put a border on the pic of the people jumping. Your headings need a better font styling. I can't really think of anything, though, sorry. :/ It took me a couple of seconds to realize that I should click on the "Submit" button to get to the submit page. Some people wouldn't be as patient. Other than that, I love the idea, and the design is a 7/10.

I really appreciate your insight, chnceg! I am working on some of those things as we speak. You have also inspired me to pull out some of my old Calvin and Hobbes. The babysitter ones are the best!!

the idea is really fantastic, i find the header image really well choose and same as the layout though you must tweak the text in the center but thats a minor issue though, i think that adding those bag images really make it more appealing!

I thank you all very much for your input, and I am taking everything you all have said into consideration as I tweak it and try to make it "perfect". We have been doing some advertising, though, without a whole lot of success. Do you think that $5.99 is too high for our price point, or should I just keep plugging away as is?

Also, do you have any ideas on how to get more members to join and vote on our designs and how to get more incoming links?

wow you did a great job with your site. The colors work great together and the flash is not overpowering the rest of the site. The store is nice and the forum looks very nice. 2 thumbs up.
I love it.
Move on to the next step and promote promote promote.

Interesting. I didn't expect to see a site like this. Nice surprise and original concept.

I'd like to see some sort of green bag at the top of the site as a logo or something.

I think I may even submit a design to this site to see if I can win!

The functionality of uploading a graphic for the contest would be great instead of emailing you. But it's not required.

Is squashed together and the line that I guess is supposed to be under it is striking through the bottom part of the text.

The site is cool. Actually, I really like the site because the eye catching color. Aside from that, the most dominated color really fits the title of your site!
