http://www.delmarmotors.com/ I need some reviews for a small car dealership website I created for a client. The client has the ability to change any of the content via an administration back end so they can change the website as they see fit.SEO is great and everything is nearly complete. I am going to charge about 3500$ but I want some feedback.

i'm always a bit hesitant about dark gradients as banding tends to show - which is the case here.

why is your doctype html 4.01 yet there are xhtml closed tags, for example, the <br /> and input tags? not that it truly makes a difference, but just pointing it out.

your banner and navigation is in flash... yet there's no animation or anything that takes advantage of flash. any reason for that?

overall clean site that's easy to use. has a "boutique" look and feel.

The header is in flash because there will be animations in which nice rollover buttons, animations, and featured cars will be added or upgraded later . I wanted to make the site easy to customize and nearly everything is able to change via backend login. I totaly understand what your saying about the background, and am looking into it

I noticed a little problem when viewing the car descriptions. Right before the images, the text went under the first 2 images.

I am using RC1 Internet Explorer 8.

A few things. Seemed very narrow for starters. Your text content is justified. Justify is for block quotes. A lot of other websites do this, but it is simply because they don't know better. Look at the big sites, you will see they do not do it. I also think you are wasting way too much space on the header image. It's a very nice looking car, but visitors will bounce if they are not compelled to look deeper into your site. Clicking the car does nothing, so that is what I think your first time visitors will do. And finally, once you get your inventory in there I would start showing off some of those cars on the home page in thumbnail format. I can only imagine real life dealerships would quickly fail if their street presences was simply a sign and one or two cars in front.

This is excellent! The only things I don't like are the logo, and the mix of sans-serif and serif fonts in the content. 9/10

I like the site graphics, but I really think you should have moved the search form up.

Also, the header is way too tall. You definitely have to cut it to about 30% of its current height. You can't allow the header to extend yo 70% of your browser folder.

Please hit me if you can use of my help.

The header is filler with flash so when the customer decides to upgrade they will have options to change it to any size they would like. It will also display images of cars for sale.
