I made this in a couple of days; just finished it. Please just review the design!

Its a pretty simple design and its pretty functual too. I dont really like the big orange box on top though it could be a different color in my opinion

Hi, I am new here but I am mainly web designer. I like it yes its simple.
The one thing I don't like it the serif text you use under title "website name" its bit hard for eye. Also make that orange bit brighter or remove it.
I hope all titles are not image but HTML easy editable text.. second is preffered because of easy edit, SEO etc..

Hi,

1. Sorry, the content is way too cluttered.

2. Remove one of the left narrow columns (make a single one out of both width)

3. Align the title with the paragraph text on these columns.

4. Don't make the content go beyond the header. Looks like the site is breaking.

5. Remove the vertical gradient on the font, top navigation.

6. Use an image on the header or explain what's your service, your business, what are you talking about, in 2-3 lines, bigger font. And a cleaner font.

@sitefarmer Personally, what would you use? I can't seem to wrap my mind around what looks good font-wise. I had it at a brighter color originally but the gradient made it darker. Titles as images like in the nav header, or in the content? It does! Thank you!

@manueldg Cluttered how? Is it cluttered in the sidebar, or in the context? Is there not enough white space between the elements? I made it a two column layout because that's what seems to be popular for blog grids. What do you mean by #4? #5 is an excellent tip, thanks. #6: that's what the orange inner-header is for. The top header is just for navigation. Would it be better to justify the text in the orange header to the left, or leave it center?

The orange box hurts...

Also, your RSS link gets lost in the orange.

Your menu at the bottom left is cluttered and confusing. Consider reducing the number of links there to just one line and 4-5 items. The popular posts link especially should be in a better place.

It feels a bit too cluttered. I feel the posts need some sort of visual separator (apart from the images alternating between being on the left and right side). A little whitespace and some sort of horisontal line may be all that's needed for that.

Also, the theme looks like it needs some more whitespace overall, everything looks kind of condensed.

Next time I'll try putting more whitespace between the elements. I thought it would be enough with what I have, but there's never enough. As for the separator, anything you suggest?

I like it, it has a unique design. I also like the colors. I do not think its cluttered its just not separated. good job and good luck!

I like the navigation at the top of the page. It forces the visitors eyes to pass over the header which is something that we have all learned to ignore.
