Website Review and Suggestions

Hey guys!

Here's a little background on the site.. I'm a professional programmer that is completely self taught; using the web as my resource. So basically this is my way to give back to what has given me so much. I also figured I could post some examples of my work to give my users a feel for my experience.

Looks nice. I would have all the navigation buttons have a white BG like you do with 'Home' when they are active.

very good observation, I did notice that and I had forgot to fix it. thanks for the reminder.

Wow, looks great!

The only thing I would fix is a change in the toolbar. Like a color change in the whole thing or something when you hover the mouse over it. It's not a huge deal, but still if you need to change something that's all I can think of. Its looks great.

looks nice, but I would work a little more on the header. put some color over the paper in the header. also, make sure you change that feed burner statistics, because clearly you don't have 2677 subscribers. you will not succeed in fooling anyone and the visitors will mostly run away if they see "tricks" like this

Yeah it looks good overall mate.

I really dislike the header image (logo.gif?)

I think the brushes and stuff are too much, starting to look a bit cheap and fake.

Try and get rid of some of them and add more opacity.

Also make the cellar tape brushes on top of the paper.

Yes that isn't my feed burner, It was on my previous template that I used to code the new one with, its just to see what it will look like

Pedledge, I would like to agree with you. I did notice that the tape needed better opacity it most cases. I will try to make it look right.. lol

I will defiantly add it to my list of changes that you guys have given me!

Im glad the genreal consensus likes it though

Wow, looks amazing, nice to see such a well designed site. My only complaint is what others have already said, make the navigation have a full button rollover instead of just a text color change.

Very Nice choice of colors.But I personally dont like the white color when you hover over the menu because the background of the content page is also white.You could use some cream color when you hover over the menu.Just my thought.Rest is greattt.Good luck.

Hey randon,

Site looks great! I really like the colors and the nav bar is very nice. The only thing I've noticed so far is that on the bottom right of the page you have a "services" area listing designing, programming, etc. Is it possible to make these buttons link somewhere rather than just an image?

Looks good at higher resolutions, but at lower resolutions, such as 1024x768 you have to scroll to the right in order to see the entire page.
