Website Review and Suggestions

I have launched a redesigned version of my continuing education website

www.CEU-Hours.com

I am interested in any feedback, but I am particularly interested in any observations about the pre-load element and any other browser compatibility related feedback in additional to visual design stuff.

For background, we just cleaned up the visual design on on our old version www.ceu-hours.com/index-old.html with page sizes and text content being roughly the same. The site has been successful for several years.

I did notice a slight increase in users bouncing off the site in the last 48 hours, might just be customers used to seeing our old layout wondering if they hit the right page, but I added the pre-loader in to see if it helps more users stick.

The design looks good, but what's the point of the preload page? To be honest I would have left before I got to the page. The preload didn't take long, but it seems pointless. Just let people get to the content. The only thing I can think you're doing on the page is letting images and external files load, but you could do that while the page itself is loading. Might as well let people see your content as soon as possible.

Maybe I'm missing the point of the preload page. Wouldn't be the first time. I just can't see how it would make anyone stick around longer. I would expect that page to always cause an increase in bounces.

Looks good! I don't mind the pre-load page if it helps present the content cohesively - but is it absolutely necessary to have it happen when you click the links at the top of the page too? I think that might put people off a bit. And maybe put a bit of text on the pre-load saying what ceu-hours is - unless all your customers know already. Hope this helps!

Sites looks great but why you have left place on the left hand side of your website. This one should be filled by anything related with your niche.

Otherwise this one is quite ok but does not have the capability which can make it different from others

The old design was okay but the new design is much, much, much better. It has the elements that make it web standard. You took a nice color scheme and implemented it properly without over due a certain color. I do not like the pre-page load script. What is the point of that? Is your server that slow you need to run one? Other then that you did a great job.

It's OK, simple but really good, but it's kind of slow, especially when go courses, it really needs patience pal.
