Here is my creation:
http://wrapitfast.com/prelaunch/index.aspx

Any opinions are welcomed. Feel free to be picky -- I've not had any feedback yet except for the site owner who seems to be a fan.

About the only cross browser difference I notice is how the dotted border style is rendered. (larger in firefox/safari/chrome etc... smaller in IE)

I guess my biggest question would be how well the content looks the way I've divided it up. (again, with those dotted borders)

That's probably my biggest question mark with the design.

FWIW... this is the first major web 2.0 type design I've done. (and from scratch)

I'm fairly confident it is solid, and put together well enough... just want to see if there is anything I'm missing.

personally, i don't believe this design is optimized to drive sales. since this isn't a widely known product and isn't available in stores nationwide, and since there doesn't seem to be any other channels of advertising, this website should act more like a landing page trying to convince the user to take action - to purchase this product via the website, rather than a simple website describing the product with a purchase link. do you see the difference? a landing page should have a lot of information on the home page describing the item as much as possible, listing points of interest in order to convince the viewer that this product is something he/she wants. the call-to-action, in this case - the purchase button, should be prominent in the home page, and it should look like a button, not just a text link.

upon viewing the order now link, it just leads to a page which lists places to order from and more links. this is one extra click! the owner should make up her mind and choose one form of checking out and stick with it and have this order now link go straight into the purchase path. maybe somewhere else in the website should she list where else to purchase this item. just not on this order now link which is the key to conversions.

i know this part isn't your area of concern, rather the business owner, but the testimonials need work. they're simply as fake as can be and no one who read any of the testimonials would take them seriously.

the "how it works" should be made into a video. no one is going to sit there and click on each step just to see how it works. they will just leave.

overall look and feel and colors are fine. no complaints there.

Thanks for the response.

The focus isn't for a sales page first, I don't feel. The big focus here, I believe is informing people of the product. That's what the page has been used for, for the most part. (and usually for business contacts -- not web searches)

We're not even to the point where we can offer it for sale online -- only through some of our other commercial appearances. I thought the front page did a good job of stating exactly what the product was -- complete with picture.

I do agree that the text link for "buy now" isn't a very standout feature...

We don't have a video for the demonstration yet... but, honestly, I don't like watching videos if I don't have to. I agree that the video would be able to offer up a better demonstration, you'd get a more intimate experience... but as I have it, all you have to do is click in place 4 times -- and the page doesn't even reload. Not sure I'm with you on that. (though, if I can get a good video to go up, I'll do that)

Testimonials came from a test-market where people actually said these things -- not fake in reality. I agree they're not of great substance, though....

Good stuff, though... probably should have given a bit more background on the business/website. Made some good points that will be useful for the site if/when it offers online sales directly from the site itself. (in which case, you're right -- no need for 'two clicks' to get to order page)

# Overall neat and clean website with less content.

# You should also tell the price as well in your home page

# Left hand side is looking blank, so you should shift testimonial category at there.

# You are shifting your visitors at QVC ... do you think that people will be able to concentrate on your product after they land at so many variety category pages.

# Use purchase options at your website only. So that you will be able to get more and more conversion.

I might change the Order Now in the top right corner. The << Order Now >>doesnt appeal to me at least. using the << >> looks basic. Doesnt flow with the rest of the site. Otherwise I like the colors and the the layout.
