Website Review and Suggestions

Can anyone take a look at my Emergency Plumbing site ive recently completed please and point out any problems you have viewing or come accross on the website i went over it a few times before it went live but would just like some feedback.

You need to define a background color for <body>. I don't use the default desktop colors, so I see your white boxes sitting on top of a pink background. Someone else might be using a screaming orange... ALWAYS define a background color for <body>.

Visually, it does not look like a plumbing site. You might want to some research on this and see what would classify a s plumbing-looking site. You might want to go to Home Depot and see some of the magazine they have there. Your site looks a little bland and has the appearance having noting to do with plumbing.

It also looks a little feminine. I don’t see too many manly men coming to the site to do business.

Why is it A2B? Does that just cover these two letters of the alphabet? Usually it’s A2Z which covers everyone. I’m not getting this one. Maybe it’s a UK thing.

As far as layout, it looks pretty good.

I know you are trying to keep all the information “above the fold” but having an internal scroll is very annoying to a lot of people. You would be better off not having that, even if it means that your bottom links are below the fold.

Plumbing sites should be masculine in facade... Black, green, blue and other dark colors should be used. Also it would be better if the logo or the banner has pipes, screws images for it to be more convincing.

I think your top logo needs to be re-done. The rest of the site looks good though and professional.

I agree with most of the statement above but another you might want to consider is moving all the navigation to the other side. I know I shouldn't assume everyone has the same reaction I do but I think most people are used to seeing navigation ont he left side, the top or both. I am used to seeing ads on the right so it actually took me second to realize those weren't ads. All and all pretty good...
