StephanieKunder.com

I'm very open to suggestions and comments on the content. I was thinking of placing a picture of myself and my son on the home page to break up the text a bit, but I was unsure if perhaps that was too personal?

My goal with this was clean, modern and easy to read.

There's some sort of bug in IE6 on the featured work page that I have as yet been able to pinpoint. Any suggestions on that would also be appreciated.

Personally, I find it very clean and easy to read.
The pastels colors are well balanced, and easy on the eyes.
The sections are clear and the content seems very appropriate.

As I'm running linux only, I cannot see what the problem is with ie, but surely one of our css gurus will be able to help you.

As for your photo, well, it's up to you, but I don't find that his page need it.
I have the feeling that it would break too much the flow the text and white spaces are forming.
But I could be wrong, it won't be the first time.

Since you're specifically looking for content reviews, here's what I offer for each page:

About = Nice page here with some basic facts about yourself.

Resume = This page may be a tad too long, I know it's a resume page and experience is big here, but that's basically what the whole site's about, you're resume, right? Perhaps you could create a separate "Experience" Page to keep with the flow of the content's readability.

Work = Looks good. The only thing I'd say is to make note of what exactly you mean by " ". Also not quite sure why some areas can only be accessed via a password. Why not just offer a live demo section or something for working designs?

Contact = Everything looks fine here too. One thing I usually expect from contact forms is that an asterisk denotes a required field. This may just be me though, as bolding works too .

What do you mean by " "?

As far as the password protected area, it's because I am unsure if I am allowed to post them. AT&T is a little touchy about copyright and I sure as heck don't want to link to the mess they made of my work when they made the websites live.

Want an example?

I didn't mean you had to use the companies' EXACT designs, just use some design concepts you came up with and perhaps offer potential clients a demo page of how your designs may look, feel, and interact.

This website is not to acquire freelance clients, I have another website for that. This website is to present my resume and my work (created for whom I was under employment) to potential employers. I do not want my freelance work on this website as that is a separate entity.

Oddly enough...I have had problems where people wouldn't hire me because I do operate a freelance company. Figure that one out!

I think you've done a very good job.

The resume is a bit long but, not too much. I'm a curmudgeon about this stuff but, if you were interviewing here, your site would definitely give you some bonus points.

Like tripy, I'm on Linux with Firefox, so it looks very nice and clean. No junk to get in the way.

I had a discussion with a friend of mine about copyright over this AT&T work I've done and decided I would remove their logo and their "special" scripts (audio & iframe things), rework them a bit and post them anyway. I used a robots.txt file so they won't be spidered and hopefully that's enough.

So here is the updated portfolio page. Easy enough to understand and navigate?

Stephanie, I think your IE6 problem is the doubled-float margin bug - you have the div floated left with a left margin - and that's the bug - IE will DOUBLE the margin. You need to feed IE a display:inline to make it stop doing that.

Hi Stephanie,

I like your website. It is pink and so feminine... but I would make something with font, maybe increasing line-height. Now the text is a little bit unreadable.
Anyway colors are soft and gentle, flowers, butterfly - nice.

I swapped out the margin for padding in div#left & div#right but it's a no go. I also tried inputting display:inline but had no luck with that either. It's really odd that it's ONLY that page. I entirely removed div#left & div#right and it still breaks in IE6. It's probably something really small and stupid that I'm missing...
