Not sure how many dog lovers frequent this forum, but if your an animal lover and knows anything about pedigrees, then you may understand my niche and purpose here.

Virtualpedigrees is "American Pit Bull Terrier" Pedigree Data base. I have uploaded several pedigrees to the database. Click through some of the pedigrees stored on http://virtualpedigrees.com/pedigrees to get an understanding about Pedigrees.

An example of a Forth Generation pedigree can be view here:http://virtualpedigrees.com/?q=node/509/public

The site was create in (Drupal CMS) using Php and Mysql. I do in the future want to sell advertisements; however, there are advertisement spots available! The website is currently free to add pedigrees to the data base and pictures to the photo Galley. At this time I have no intent to charge a subscription fee. And my Goal is to add a different breed of dog every month.

All feedback is welcome, I just want unbiased opinions about the entire website including ideas about the niche market I have going here and how I can improve the designed/layout!

Website: www.virtualpedigrees.com
Pedigrees Lists: http://virtualpedigrees.com/pedigrees

Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Entrecast,

I am a dog lover myself. I think for the niche, your site great. I have two recommendations.

First, maybe having a short site welcome/site summary on the front page (replacing "Welcome to the most dynamic and extensive pedigree database.." post) would make the purpose of the site easier to understand. The site welcome / summary with a background of some sort would be nice.

Second, I visited the forums and found that I could not easily return to the homepage to view the rest of the site. Perhaps a link in the header of the forums back to the frontpage of the main site would be nice. I did see the "Home" link at the bottom after a bit of searching.

Other than that, I think the site is well done. Good luck !!

7.5- Great, considerable effort put into website.

The most obvious this I see is the lack of color. More color, less gray-scale would be nice.

The black footer box doesn't really seem to fit in with the overall look.

The tealish fade on the background doesn't seem to fit in either.
