Website Review and Suggestions

Hi there,

I am building this site..

The top 5 or so links from the sidebar are the most complete so please use those to evaluate.

I would really appreciate some feedback, it has a lot going on with the scripts, images, and maps and I am afraid load time is suffering. I would like to know how others are experiencing it and any suggestions on how to improve it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Zac,

The initial visit to the site was reasonably equal compared to the load speed of any other site. Next I clicked on Hoko Falls and that took roughly 3-4 seconds to completely load. However the rest of the links loaded in about 2 seconds. There was not any excessive load times during my experience on the site.

I enjoyed the site, no complaints on the look and feel of the site. I found it very easy to navigate and the information was easy to read.

Speed is average for an image-heavy site. I did notice that your link (from the original post) puts us on the welcome page which I thought was the home page until I clicked the logo in the upper corner that took me out of the area. The "welcome page" did not have this link installed on the pic. Also a couple of the logos below the menu do not have links yet, might be nice.

From your OP, it sounds like your still in development and all this stuff will come together in time. Good Luck!

But as far as looks... very cool Makes me want to visit. And I'd like to learn how you did the map. It's neat.

The site is graphically intensive, but loads quickly.
Colors and composition are all right, from my point of view.

Maybe you should work a little at structuring the left menu somehow more - dividing it into sections etc.
