Website Review and Suggestions

Hello,

I made a small search engine with google custom search. My url is: http://www.globasearch.com/

It does the samething like google homepage do, but added to it a small on-page bookmark, named "Fast Browsing" .

Do you thing people will use it ? I mean make it their homepage and add they favorite websites to that page ?

I think that small bookmark may help many people, do you think it's usefull ?

What do you think about my small website ?

IMHO no, why wouldent people just use google, saying that I have seen that this website is popular with people (www.googlemyway.com), it allows them to make a site like yours in like in a cupple of seconds with there name or other text above it in the google font ( eg http://googlemyway.com/test ), quite a few of my friends have one of them as there homepage and I suspect the site owner is making quite alot of money off the search ads

There are lots of ways to do this sort of thing.
With that said; Yes if you put it out there some people will use it. Not everybody knows about every other way of doing this.

If there wasn't room for competition or alternatives we wouldn't have Yahoo, Live, MSN, AOL, Ask, Hotfrog, mahalo.

If you only got a small percentage of the biggest competitor you would still have a large audience.

IMO I think people will not use it because we all know that this is powered by Google so why they will also prefer to use Google

Unless you can give them a great reason to use it, nobody is going to set it as their homepage, actually they probably won't use it for anything honestly. I hope you don't take this as offensive

I don't thing it’s useful because why any body will set it as their homepage. You should provide some sticky content in your site so that visitor spend longer time in your site and may set it as home page.

Some people may use it, but I don't see any real reason to do so.
One of the main features of Google, IMO, is the Accounts section, where I have access to Webmaster Tools and Analytics. These features are important and unavailable on your page.

Thank you, but it will not be for webmaster so they will not need that tools.

But I added some option, and changed the design of result pages.
Ok, now user can save their searches, so a simple link will be added in home page to that search, this may be usefull for someones, don't you think ?
