Website Review and Suggestions

Hey guys,

I just had my company website installed onto my server. And while it's not 100%, I'd like to still get opinions/reviews about the:

- design scheme
- layout
- etc...

If you could reply here with your brutally honest reviews, I'd appreciate that.

*Some buttons don't work yet (like on the flash presentation for instance), so no negative feedback about the poor functionality

clean but too grey - use some colour on headings and links

logo too difficult to read try writing it like this

also the Unltd. bit looks weird as it's kind of your own abbreviation extrapolated from Ltd. (limited).
otherwise you're definitely on the right track

I don't mind the gray all that much, although a pop of color wouldn't hurt.
I do agree, the font for the logo is not very readable.

Subtle rollover (Google "Trifecta rollover") buttons always are a nice touch.

Give it a contrast point with color... Maybe the logo since you should already change that since it's unreadable. I had to look at the URL just to see what the name was.

I find the color scheme dreary and depressing.

Looks professional.

I'd like to see more color.

If black and white, I'd prefer more contrast, richer blacks. Here we have mostly light gray.

I've just updated the homepage with web copy and the buttons on the flash now work.

I like your choice of black and white, and overall the site is pretty good. One piece of advice would be to remove the "Navigation" header for your navigation. I don't think it's necessary to tell people what or where the navigation is; the internet has been around long enough that people pretty much intuitively understand where and what the navigation on most sites.

The site overall looks fine. Only few things:
1. Put a decent logo. That is no logo. Futura font would fit perfect instead of that terrible thing you have as logo.
2. Fonts!!!!! My heart was at regular BPM until I saw Comic Sans!!!!!!! Use high quality fonts. Use Helvetica, Futura, Garamond, Bodoni...

I didn't realize that there was an entire movement against the misuse of Comic Sans until I did some research after reading Fran's reply.

I'll see what I can do about that.

Ok, Comic Sans has been banished from my website for good

I also made the logo smaller and easier to read.

OK I 'perused' your site.
I'm not a big fan of big pictures as headers.

But the layout is good. I would find what I needed when I went there.

I insist: not only comic sans; get rid of all windows fonts of your site whenever possible. Due to the topic of the content I'd use good Roman fonts. Garamond would fit awesome on the flash presentation.

And the logo!!!! Logo thing is urgent. Your current logo fits on a Hip Hop related website, not in a writer's. I'd recommend Futura Bold for the logo. Would fit perfectly with that background and that color scheme.
