Key problem for me is that it's a labyrinth.
I don't know where to go. I don't see any organization here. Curtains of drop-down menus... far too many.
There is a section renovations before/after. This should be important. But I don't see a side-by-side before/after.
You expressly wanted a real critique, probably to get some facts written down before dealing with the design company who did the site.
Out of these reasons it doesn't look inviting to me.
I'd try to apply the basics of rhetoric here: who's your audience, what's their level of knowledge, and what are they interested most when they come.
So, I'd suggest planning the site navigation around those questions a visitor may have. Does he want a new bath or a new kitchen.
Kitchen.
So I click on kitchen. Then I see: renovations before/after or renovation services. So I'd go first to before/after to see what you've done, would then go back and click on your services.
Good design in anything shows you right away how to use something or where to go to get a certain info.
Example: you don't need a manual to operate an iPod. It's quite clear how it works.
I personally don't like drop-down menus, so I'm probably biased on this.
Hope that this helps. Good luck with your project!
PS: you have links to different versions of your website. The link on top looks best, but still has the problems described.
